Fridley Schools Foundation "Get Your Paws Moving" Walk
Posted 08/01/2019 08:00AM

The Fridley Schools Foundation will host its third annual “Get Your Paws Moving” Walk on September 18, 2019, beginning at the Fridley High School football stadium track.

The “Get Your Paws Moving” Walk is an annual fundraiser that brings students, staff, families and community members together in support of Fridley Public Schools. Together, all participants walk a two mile loop around Fridley High School. Last year’s walk raised over $4,500.

The fundraiser helps support the Foundation’s mission of enhancing educational opportunities for students. All funds raised from the event will benefit Fridley students through college scholarships for graduating seniors, as well as innovation grants awarded to Fridley Public Schools’ staff. These grants allow staff to purchase classroom materials, organize impactful field trips, or fund other opportunities throughout the school year. The Fridley School’s Foundation acknowledges and appreciates the generosity of its community and the donors who make it possible to help open doors for many students.

Registration for the “Get Your Paws Moving” Walk begins at 4:00 p.m. The walk will begin at 4:30 pm. To register for the event, please visit www.fridleyschoolsfoundation.org and follow the links to the registration form. Registration costs $20 for an individual walker, or $50 for a family of four. All registrations received before September 11 will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Please make checks payable to the Fridley Schools Foundation.

If you cannot attend the event and still wish to contribute, you may register as a “virtual walker” and support a co-worker’s or friend’s team. Registration remains $20 with a t-shirt, and $10 without a t-shirt. Open amount donations are also an option.

The Fridley Schools Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that has been supporting the mission of enhancing educational opportunities for Fridley Public Schools students since 1999. The Foundation is made up of volunteers from our schools, community, and local organizations.
