Today, March 25, 2020, Governor Walz announced that all public and charter schools will remain closed through May 4. That means that beginning Monday, March 30, Fridley will implement its Distance Learning initiative for students.

Our teachers and staff have been hard at work finalizing plans for continuity in instruction through Distance Learning, and the continuation of services such as meals for students, social emotional learning and supports, support for students with special needs, and evaluating the needs of students who may not have access to technology.  While modified due to social distancing, our services to our students will continue.

Per the Governor's announcement, child care will continue to be available to First Responders, emergency workers and health care providers.  In addition, the district will expand its childcare services to Tier I and Tier II per the Governor's announcement.  Click here to to find details on essential workers who qualify for childcare.

Please continue to monitor your email, as we will be communicating additional information specific to your child's school within the next two days.  You will receive information about how to access Distance Learning and materials, how to access school meals for your child, and any additional student support services.

We are here and committed to support our students and families as best as we can under these challenging circumstances.  We hope that you continue to be safe and healthy, and that we will see our students soon.

Thank you, and take care of yourselves and our students.
